We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Cook to prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for students and staff.
- Ensure all meals meet the dietary needs and preferences of SEN students.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Manage food inventory and place orders as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with school staff to create menus that support the health and well-being of students.
- Accommodate special dietary requirements and allergies.
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a school or similar setting.
- Must have an enhanced DBS, or willing to get one.
- Knowledge of dietary needs and nutrition, especially for children with SEN.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
