Events Logistics Coordinator

Monday to Friday (Flexibility when travelling for events)

9.00 – 5.00pm West Kent based (Option for 4 days per week remote working once trained)

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Our client, an established exhibition logistics company based in West Kent, are looking to recruit an Events Logistics Coordinator to assist with their busy events calendar. This role would suit an outgoing, confident individual who is happy to travel internationally as there will be 4 – 5 annual events that you will need to attend.

The role:

• You will be speaking to customers on the phone, taking incoming enquiries / orders
• Preparing quotations and subsequent follow up
• Booking and coordinating freight movements by road, sea and air both nationally and internationally
• Liaising with UK suppliers and overseas agents to ensure timely delivery of event cargo
• Managing the freight forwarding process with customers, ensuring that they are fully updated throughout the process
• Attending 4-5 international events & exhibitions annually (Europe, Asia, USA & South Africa)

The right candidate will have/be:

• Office based administration experience
• Experience account managing a client-base
• Events experience (Desirable)
• Freight Forwarding experience, air, road and sea (Desirable)
• Proficiency in IT / Microsoft Office
• Able to build rapport and trust quickly
• Highly organised with attention to details and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Able to travel internationally 4-5 times per year
