People Advisor (Part-Time - 32 Hours Per Week) Location - East Malling, KentWe're working with a growing organisation seeking an experienced and proactive People Advisor to support their HR function on a part-time, fixed-term basis (32 hours per week). This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HR professional to step into a varied and rewarding role, contributing to key people initiatives and driving continuous improvement across the business.The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance, acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees alike. You'll be joining a business that values initiative, collaboration, and a solutions-focused mindset.Key Responsibilities:*Advise on HR policies, procedures, and current employment legislation.*Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.*Support managers with performance management, conflict resolution, and formal processes such as disciplinaries and grievances.*Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities from job scoping through to new starter setup.*Collaborate on talent development and succession planning initiatives.*Contribute to the implementation of engagement strategies and workplace culture programs.*Oversee accurate HR documentation, records, and reporting.*Deliver and support training on key HR topics including diversity and leadership.*Ensure HR compliance with legal and internal policy standards.Specific Areas of Focus:*Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage job descriptions, interviews, offers, and agency coordination. Oversee onboarding processes including documentation and payroll liaison.*Employee Development: Work alongside L&D to support personal development plans, appraisals, and progression pathways.*Policy & Compliance: Lead on policy development and act as the main contact for employment queries and statutory processes.*HR Administration: Handle queries around absence, probation, eligibility checks, and changes to employment status.*Employee Relations: Conduct investigations, coordinate formal hearings, and maintain detailed records in partnership with senior HR leadership.*Engagement & Culture: Lead on team engagement initiatives, employee communications, surveys, and well-being programs.*Reporting & Insight: Monitor and report on departmental objectives and people metrics to inform leadership decisions.Candidate Profile:*At least 3 years' experience in a similar HR advisory or employee relations role.*CIPD Level 3 qualified*Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.*Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.*Highly organised with strong attention to detail.*Confident in using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.How to Apply: Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their CV and a cover letter detailing their experience and suitability for the roleContact Information: Jamie Birch -
