Barker Munro Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be working with this dynamic and highly professional organisation to source a Claims handler to expand their team.The opportunity offers some slight different to the usual Kent based Claims role. You will be handling a wide variety of claims within Marine Trades sector including Yacht, pleasure craft, Liability, Personal injury and Property cases.Candidates should have a strong claims handling background as you will manage your own caseload of approximately 120-140 claims per annum. You should be keen to take on new skills and work with and collaborate with colleagues in other divisions of the business. Key Responsibilities · Preparing and issuing FNOL’s and setting up of all new claims on the account · Management and adjustment of outsourced claims under Delegated Authority · Assess and maintaining claim indemnity and fee reserves accurately · Liaising with and appointing Experts and Lawyers from appropriate · Updating and submission of Monthly Claims Bordereaux · Preparing Quarterly MI Reporting for Client · Liaising with underwriters, surveyors, brokers, lawyers and other third parties on a daily basis· Excellent written skills are essential · Attending regular Client and broker meetings in London and regionally · Reporting to the Account Manager on complex claims and preparing coverage referrals

This small but very friendly team will offer first class support and development to the successful candidate. Although a background in Marine Claims handling is an advantage, it is not essential.
