Their expanding Data and Analytics team is at the forefront of this mission, and they are looking for a dynamic Graduate Data Scientist to join them!About You: You are a highly motivated individual with a 2:1 or above in Computer Science. You’re proactive, eager to learn, and equipped with a solid understanding of multiple programming languages. As a self-motivated problem solver with analytical thinking skills, you thrive in collaborative environments and will be committed to delivering high-quality work on time. Your strong interpersonal skills and can-do attitude will set you apart as a candidate ready to embark on an exciting career journey.Your Role: In this role, you’ll use their extensive data warehouse to build sophisticated machine learning models that drive key business decisions. While they don’t expect you to have industry experience, your academic background in data science concepts will be crucial. You’ll have the flexibility to apply your research and expertise to develop innovative solutions and approaches.Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the data team to develop efficient and reliable data pipelines.
  • Harness extensive datasets to create machine learning models that drive informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Data and Analytics to identify AI opportunities for improving business efficiency.
  • Assist data analysts with various ad-hoc data requests as required.
  • Communicate data and model results clearly and effectively to senior management.
What You Bring:
  • Strong numerical background with knowledge of key statistical principles, including Bayesian and frequentist statistics and probability distributions.
  • Fundamental understanding of machine learning algorithms, such as linear regression and random forest.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages, particularly SQL and Python.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate statistical results to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-educating, curious, and pragmatic with a solution-oriented mindset.
