Job Role: Planning Manager

Area: Kings Hill

Salary: £70k - £90k

My client is looking for a Planning Manager to join the team, they are a leading residential property developer and this role is reporting directly to one of the Directors. As Planning Manager, you will be over seeing all aspects of planning applications, regulatory approvals and strategic land promotions within the Eastern region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications across the Eastern region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, community groups and other key stakeholders addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate with Land, Design, Technical and Construction Teams to align planning objectives with project goals.
  • Support land promotion activities by evaluating sites for planning potential, contributing to strategic feasibility studies.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate potential planning risks.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on planning progress, planning budgets, approvals and associated risks for presentation

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate Development or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in planning management.
  • Strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policies and practices.
  • Driving licence.
