IT Software Tester - West Malling

Are you a highly motivated, analytical IT Software Tester looking to work for a Leading Mortgage Broker & Lender in West Malling, Kent?

You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software developed meets the needs of the business and functions, joining their dynamic IT team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manual testing and the creation of test plans, with the ability to work on your own initiative. You will also work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Stakeholders to ensure high quality on-time delivery.

This is a permanent, office-based opportunity, offering a salary of £24,000-£26,000 with a yearly salary review & bonus scheme! Supported training will be provided to support your professional growth within the business!

Main duties will include

  • Reading and understanding User Stories and Technical Design Documents.
  • Identify the test scope, create test plans and test cases.
  • Execute test cases, document defects and liaising with developers.
  • Liaise with Line Manager, escalating any specific areas for discussion or resolution, making suggestions for improvement.
  • Use clear communications to liaise with colleagues to understand the specifics surrounding identified issues.
  • Identify areas where process and service improvements can be made and develop recommendations.
  • Ensure that project administration is carried out to a high standard to ensure projects are always kept up to date.

What skills will you have?

  • High competence in Microsoft Office Programmes.
  • Experience in creation of testing documentation and executing testing.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage process would be beneficial.
  • Experience of ClickUp would be beneficial.
  • Experience in SQL would be beneficial.
  • An understanding of C#, Classic ASP, Java would be beneficial.
  • Strong analysis skills and logical approach to problem solving.
