We are partnering with a reputable and growing organisation that is dedicated to providing exceptional support and services. This forward-thinking and compassionate business is seeking a detail-oriented and organised pro-active Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant to join their finance team.

The organisation operates as part of a larger group of companies, offering the successful candidate exposure to a variety of businesses within the group. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience across different areas of finance, with the potential to develop into a broader Accountant role over time.

Day to Day responsibilities include:

  • Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate coding
  • Reconciling bank accounts and supplier statements
  • Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers
  • Investigating and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies
  • Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory submissions
  • Supporting the finance team with month-end processes and reporting
  • Maintaining financial records in line with company policies and regulations

The ideal candidate we are looking for is/has:

  • Local and able to work in the office on a full-time basis
  • Proven experience in a transactional finance role (e.g., Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
