- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and new suppliers to ensure continuous supply and negotiate favourable terms.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews.
- Process purchase orders and manage procurement cycles to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry or similar
- Educated to degree level ideally within a related field
- IT literate
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
- Good understanding of GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements
