Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Location: 100% onsite at site in West Molesey (KT8 2QZ)

Salary: £55,000 per annum (Negotiable)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

Reports to: Operations Director

Reports: Direct 5 (Team of 12)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a customer led ethos in the Supply Chain teams such that all individuals play their part, there is effective communication with stakeholders and activities are planned and controlled in order to support the key KPIS, including but not limited to DIFOT, SLOBS, inventory accuracy, schedule breaks.
  • Ensure that customer complaints are dealt with through effective and timely investigation and resolution and that subsequently effective corrective actions are instigated and maintained to avoid reoccurrence
  • Establish an effective model to manage capacity balance between local manufacture, 3rdparty manufacture, raw material vendors and finished goods suppliers such that raw materials and finished goods are provisioned to meet customer demand in the most cost effective way and such that customer promise dates can be given reliably
  • Lead the team by establishing clear and understandable measures for all key performance indicators, tracking performance and establishing corrective action plans before the an issue ‘hits’ the business wherever practicable
  • Ensure Quality standards are understood and adhered to by the external supply chain and Warehouse in conjunction with the Quality function, ensuring that internal and external relevant staff are trained appropriately to ensure their understanding and compliance
  • Ensure that appropriate inventory levels are established and maintained and that accurate goods-in and inventory controls are in place in order to effectively count and control stock levels to meet the business needs but are reflective of the financial targets in respect of inventory
  • Ensure best practice in warehouse operations, specifically but not limited to stock accuracy, cycle counts, operating system utilisation, FIFO, pick face utilisation, accurate quarantine and minimise missing stock.
  • Ensure the Supply Chain team operates within company and legal health & safety requirements and best practice in order to minimise the risk of accident or injury. This includes working and communication with suppliers to ensure they comply with COSHH and Manual Handling Regulations on all material shipped
  • Ensure that all members of the Supply Chain understand the department and personal performance standards through regular communication and review and that training plans are established and delivered to meet the skill development and succession plans required to sustain the business

About you:

Key experience and skills required to be successful:

  • 3-5 years of relevant Supply Chain Management experience
  • Operated at senior leadership level in business with strategy development experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Drives for continuous improvement and has experience of implementing procedures
  • Significant experience in supply planning
  • Significant experience in managing external supply base and procurement teams
  • Proven record in budget achievement and effective financial management
  • People management
  • Effective negotiator
  • Problem solving approach and able to handle multiple issues simultaneously
  • Must be adept in Excel
  • Strong familiarity with Sage and Epicor will be well regarded
