SEMH Teaching Assistant - Chichester

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant

The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where our students can thrive. We cater for children aged 7-16 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Many students also have a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety and Speech and Language delay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences
  • Assist students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers

What We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate and patient individual with a genuine interest in working with children with special educational needs
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support is preferable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • A positive attitude and a desire to make a difference
  • Access to a car with a full driving license
