An SME Manufacturing business with a turnover in excess of £25m based on the Kent/Surrey border is looking to hire an ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Financial Controller to join them on a permanent basis. This role is based 5 days per week in the office although there may be some negotiation to have some hybrid working after completion of the probation period. Reporting to the Managing Director and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, the Financial Controller will:
Duties of the Financial Controller Role:
- Oversee/design and implement Financial Controls to ensure that the organisation is best placed to minimalise any unnecessary losses
- Mentor and develop a small finance team
- Oversee the production of the monthly/quarterly management accounts
- Engage with the parent company to ensure they receive quality financial data
- Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team in providing commercial and strategic acumen to drive the business forward
Requirements of the Financial Controller Role:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified Accountant
- Strong Experience working within the Manufacturing sector
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to mentor staff
- Commercially focussed
