Swanstaff Ltd are currently seeking support workers for our specialist college based in Bromley, for young adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and other complex needs. Monday to Thursday, 08:30 – 15:45, Friday, 08:30 – 15:00 (Permanent role: 08:30 – 16:00)

Job Purpose

As a Support Worker you will provide tailored support to our students, helping them develop their independence, communication, and life skills. You will play a key role in promoting their well-being and assisting with educational and therapeutic activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Support: Provide individual and group support for students in their daily routines, including personal care, mobility, and communication.
  • Educational Activities: Assist with classroom activities, helping students engage with the curriculum and develop their skills.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Support the delivery of therapeutic programs in collaboration with occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and other professionals.
  • Community Engagement: Accompany students on trips and activities in the community to enhance their social and practical life skills.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an HCA or support worker, must have a minimum of 6 months.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting young people
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Effective communication & interception skills
  • Must have a child & adult DBS on update service.
