Reed Education are working with a Junior School based in West Wickham who are looking for a KS2 Class Teacher who will work closely with our Teaching Team to ensure high-quality education and improved standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality lessons across all areas of the primary curriculum.
  • Curriculum Coordination: Coordinate activities and resources within a specific curriculum area, supporting colleagues in its delivery.
  • Planning: Develop courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons tailored to the needs and interests of pupils.
  • Assessment: Mark and assess pupils' work, recording their development, progress, and attainment.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and external bodies, discussing pupils' progress and addressing any issues.
  • Classroom Management: Create a stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning, maintaining discipline and fostering respect among pupils.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to keep abreast of educational developments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Experience: Proven ability as an excellent teacher with KS2 experience.
  • Skills: Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Up-to-date with the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • ICT Proficiency: Competent in using ICT tools for teaching and administration.
  • Safeguarding: Understanding of current safeguarding issues and legislation.
