About You

The Manufacturing Technician will ideally have the following skill/attributes:

  • Experience of working within a successful manufacturing team.
  • Experience of implementing best practise manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience of supervising work of technicians/ small teams
  • Technical competence by qualification and/ or experience ideally in an engineering discipline

Key responsibilities for the Manufacturing Technician

  • From team production plan, manage personal workload ensuring all milestones are achieved.
  • Using agreed measures, monitor and report on progress and initiating corrective action as required. (e.g. quality, on time delivery, yield, rework and scrap,)
  • Utilise best practice processes, techniques and continuous improvement methods as introduced.
  • Undertake Inventory Control methods.
  • Maintain a flexible attitude and approach to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Establish and maintain close and effective working relationships with other members of the team.
  • Operate within the Quality policy and procedures as defined in the quality system.
  • Be aware of and ensure team compliance with Health and Safety policy and procedures.
  • Demonstrate and maintain professional conduct.
  • Recognise team customers, both internal and external and strive to fully satisfy their needs.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the business.
  • Undertake additional tasks requested by the Team Leader.
