About the Role:

This Wiltshire based school are seeking a dedicated Deputy Headteacher to join their team at an independent specialist school. This role involves providing high-quality, therapeutic, and child-centred education to students aged 7 to 17, all of whom have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many students also have additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Headteacher in managing and leading the school.
  • Lead curriculum development and implementation.
  • Oversee pastoral care and student well-being.
  • Manage and mentor teaching staff.
  • Ensure compliance with educational policies and regulations.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven record of good or outstanding teaching practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
