Are you looking for an exciting role within a specialist school for a permanent placement that will commence in January? This intendant school first opened back in 2009 and had achieved a 'Good’ Ofsted rating in 2020. They offer a holistic approach to learning, they focus on the students social and emotional development; so it is incredibly important you are mouldable to work with the teaching styles of the school.

To be successful with your application you must have QTS/QTLS/PGCE, is preferable but consideration will be given to education professionals with other teaching qualifications. You must have experience of teaching English. In addition to this it is essential that you have experience of working with young people in an SEN environment and that you are passionate about the social and emotional well-being of children.

You will be planning and delivering lessons that are specialised to suit the needs of the school, which include MLD and Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs. There will be many opportunities to work with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver a sequenced curriculum which builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points. It is essential that you are effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding systematically and effectively, putting in place clearly directed and timely interventions

This will be a full time position, working Monday to Friday 8:30 - 3:30 , term time only. This is a permanent placement beginning in January, however if available there will be an opportunity for you to attend a trial week.

The headteacher is looking for an experienced, kind individual, that can work well with the needs of the school and bring enthusiasm and dedication to the role.
