Job Title: Mortgage Adviser.  Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex.   Basis: Employed-Full Time.  Salary: Basic salary of Up to £30,000 DOE + Commission, Realistic Year 1 OTE £55K.  Hours: Office based Mon-Fri 9:00am to 6.00pm.  Rayner Personnel are the UK’S leading Financial Services Recruiters, and we are proud to work with the UK’s leading Mortgage Brokerages, Estate Agents & Financial institutions.  Our client is Southend-on-Sea's premier independent Mortgage brokerage. The business has gone from strength to strength and specialise in First Time Buyers, Home Movers, Second Properties and BTL's.  Having recently joined forces with a local estate agent, they are now seeking an experienced Mortgage Adviser to join their team who will be responsible for providing Mortgage advice to their High-Net-worth client base.  You will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of writing decent levels of business in a previous Mortgage advice position to be considered.  You will be spending 3 days a week based in a local estate agency and 2 days a week in the company's head office.  All leads will be provided and due to the large number of applications this role will produce, they have their own protection team, and this Mortgage adviser position will receive a 20% commission split from all successful protection referrals made.   What is on offer?

  Key responsibilities for this Mortgage and Protection Advisor role
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with the estate agency team; providing support and training where required
  • Provide expert mortgage advice to clients looking to purchase residential and/or investment properties.
  • Motivated to attract new clients and business yourself
  • Provide exceptional client care and guide them through the application process, ensuring a stress-free experience
  • Stay up to date with the Mortgage market and trends
  • Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, maintain the highest ethical standards at all times
  Skills and experience for this Mortgage and Protection Advisor role
  • Full CeMAP or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a previous Mortgage or Mortgage and Protection adviser role
  • Good track record of achieving and exceeding cross sales; ensuring clients are adequately protected
  • Ability to generate new business in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Ability to put the customer first at all times
  • Full UK driving licence
