Band 5 Locum Pharmacy Technician – South London - NHS
Hunter AHP are seeking a Band 5 Locum Pharmacy Technician for an ASAP start position in an NHS run Medicines Packing Unit at a busy healthcare facility in South London.
This role is available due to the departure of a permanent staff member and offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic team. No NHS experience is required, making it a great opportunity for those with a background in pharmacy looking to expand their experience in a healthcare setting. The position is set to start in December and will be an ongoing 6-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the medicines packing unit, ensuring all medicines are packed accurately and efficiently.
- Work with a team to ensure the timely distribution of medicines.
- Follow all relevant protocols and procedures to maintain patient safety and medication accuracy.
- Provide support across the unit during the shift, ensuring smooth operational flow.
Shifts & Schedule:
- 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM shifts acros
- Flexibility to work any 4 to 5 days per week across the 7-day period.
- Part-time available, but must include weekend shifts.
- Uplifted pay rates are available for weekend shifts.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally in a medicines packing or similar unit (NHS experience is not required).
- No requirement to be an ACT.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
Pay Rate:
From £18 to £25 per hour (via Umbrella Company), depending on experience. Uplifted pay rates for weekend shifts.
This is a 6-month locum role with an ASAP start, and the contract is likely to continue beyond the initial period.
