Overview

Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for a Graduate Projects Engineer on behalf of a global market leader in combustion management systems.

Established over 50 years, they are the largest distributor in Europe for Ray Burners. They offer installation, service and maintenance services to a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, educational and leisure. They carry out a lot of work on Universities, Hotels, NHS, Museums, Car Showrooms, Food Manufacturing sites etc.

As the Graduate Projects Engineer you will join the contracts team in the service department assisting with overseeing project installations along side the Contracts Manager. We are looking for an experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. May manage projects or processes with general supervision. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.

This is a permanent position, based from Biggin Hill, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. This role will include travel to client sites. The salary is paying 30k - 35k per annum. Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities and resources.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of equipment and systems.
  • Communicate project status.
  • Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Resolve conflicts and address concerns.
  • Identify and assess potential risks.
  • Develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
  • Ensure that projects meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement quality control measures.
  • Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage budgets and negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget.

Skills & Attributes

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • CAD knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Interest in the environment, sustainability and decarbonisation.
  • Interest in engineering, technology and manufacturing.
  • Full UK Driving Licence Required.
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Very self-motivated and possess a willingness to be successful in your career.
