We are seeking a highly organised Production Planner with a strong mechanical engineering background to join their team and play a pivotal role in streamlining their production and maintenance operations.The RoleAs a Production Planner, you’ll ensure efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of maintenance and production tasks within a highly regulated aviation environment. Your role will be critical in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring projects are delivered on time while meeting strict industry standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage detailed production and maintenance schedules for aircraft operations.
  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal allocation of manpower, tooling, and materials.
  • Monitor production progress, address delays, and implement solutions to maintain adherence to schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with EASA Part 145 regulations and other industry standards across all planning activities.
  • Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of components and materials required for maintenance activities.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain detailed production and planning records to meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing production processes and minimising downtime.
What We’re Looking ForWe’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in production planning, ideally within the aviation or manufacturing sectors.Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience in production or maintenance planning in a regulated environment, with preference for aviation (EASA Part 145) experience.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, workflows, and resource management.
  • Proficiency in using planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, ERP/MRP systems, or similar software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desirable:
  • Experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environments.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards relevant to the aviation industry.
