We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team. The role involves providing bespoke educational support to students outside of mainstream education due to social, emotional, and mental health challenges. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive environment that enables students with SEN, SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and other learning difficulties to thrive and progress.
Day to day of the role:- Deliver personalised educational sessions across various subjects, tailored to individual learning needs.
- Offer in-class support for specific students, collaborating with the Head of School to coordinate efforts.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Engage students in extracurricular activities to enhance learning, behaviour, social skills, and well-being.
- Facilitate smooth transitions for students moving back to mainstream schools or colleges.
- Participate in thorough assessments to identify and overcome learning barriers.
- Ensure the educational needs of children with special educational needs are met, in close partnership with the Head of School.
- Provide detailed reports on student progress and activities as required.
- Adhere to all relevant legislation, as well as school policies and procedures.
- Proven experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, ASC, ADHD.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
- Competent in numeracy and literacy.
- Organisational skills to manage records, plan workload, and prioritise tasks.
