Accounts Assistant

Are you an experienced Legal Cashier or Accounts Assistant, working in finance and are passionate about breaking into legal accounting?

We are seeking a talented individual to join a leading legal cashier team in the Weston-Super-Mare area. As a Legal Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of cashiering duties, in compliance with regulations and to maintain high service levels.

Responsibilities:a

Process various types of payments, including TT/CHAPs, BACS, Faster payments, and foreign paymentsHandle client and office account payments, receipts, and multi-currency transactionsProvide interest calculations and manage client money depositsSupport system/process projects across the team and contribute to changes

You will work closely with solicitors and the legal depts across the business, supporting client transactions and offering guidance when required. You will be part of a supportive and established team, offering excellent opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Legal Cashier would be an advantage, but not essentialMust have good general accounts/finance experienceIdeally knowledge of cashiering duties and compliance regulationsExcellent attention to detail and numerical skillsProficiency in using electronic banking systems

As our client is very open minded to the level of experience for this role the salary would be negotiable. We envisge it will be between £25,000 - £35,000 + good benefits and a supportive working environemnt.
