This is a full-time post, working 37 hours per week.

Day to day of the role

  • Playing an active role in the marketing and promotion of the Specialist Provision within Foundation Learning, with particular emphasis on liaison with external partners, employers, and other key agencies.
  • Establishing and developing strong relationships with employers, and having a clear commitment to ensuring progress is robustly monitored.
  • Developing new placement opportunities and ensuring that communication with employers is timely, effective, and contributes to high employer satisfaction.
  • Carrying out a wide range of initial, formative and summative assessments to establish support needs and starting points, which are clearly mapped and track progress through vocational profiling.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Relevant successful SEND experience.
  • Evidence of previous success in gaining employment outcomes with learners with SEND.
  • Knowledge and understanding of learning difficulties and disabilities and how these may affect the way students learn.
  • Skills in the development and implementation of individual learning programmes.
