We are seeking an Accounts Technician for one of our Weston-Super-Marebased clients. As a key member of the accounts team, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and tax tasks, including the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and VAT returns. This is an excellent opportunity to join this growing organisation on a permanent basis with hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing financial statements for various business structures.
  • Calculating and filing personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services.
  • Submitting necessary documents to Companies House and HMRC.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
  • Adhering to internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the Partners, Managers, and the office with general administrative tasks.

Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:

  • Experience as an Accounts Technician or Semi-Senior in an accountancy practice.
  • AAT qualified (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience preparing accounts for limited companies.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
