You will need a proven track record of delivering a high quality apprenticeship provision, with well-developed employer links that have led to excellent timely achievement rates in Construction Trades, Construction Professions or other apprenticeships standards from outside of the Construction Industry.

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week.

Day to day duties

  • To design and develop a wide curriculum that meets the needs of learners, supports growth, and enables them to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to progress into meaningful sustained destinations.
  • To effectively lead, manage and develop implementation of curriculum that creates an outstanding learner experience.
  • To lead, motivate and develop a team of staff and support their career journeys while championing a cycle of continuous improvement.
  • To work collaboratively with cross-college teams to ensure the wider knowledge, skills and behaviours learners need are planned and developed coherently. (e.g. Maths, English, Careers, Personal Development, Digital etc.)

Required skills and qualifications

  • A Level 4 Teaching Qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • A Vocational qualification at a minimum of level 3, which is appropriate to Building Services and Construction Professions.
  • A strong understanding of Quality Assurance processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
