You will need a proven track record of delivering a high quality apprenticeship provision, with well-developed employer links that have led to excellent timely achievement rates in Construction Trades, Construction Professions or other apprenticeships standards from outside of the Construction Industry.
This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week.
Day to day duties
- To design and develop a wide curriculum that meets the needs of learners, supports growth, and enables them to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they need to progress into meaningful sustained destinations.
- To effectively lead, manage and develop implementation of curriculum that creates an outstanding learner experience.
- To lead, motivate and develop a team of staff and support their career journeys while championing a cycle of continuous improvement.
- To work collaboratively with cross-college teams to ensure the wider knowledge, skills and behaviours learners need are planned and developed coherently. (e.g. Maths, English, Careers, Personal Development, Digital etc.)
Required skills and qualifications
- A Level 4 Teaching Qualification is desirable but not essential.
- A Vocational qualification at a minimum of level 3, which is appropriate to Building Services and Construction Professions.
- A strong understanding of Quality Assurance processes.
- Knowledge and experience of current teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
