We are seeking a dedicated Paraplanner to join our team, providing essential support to our financial advisers. This role involves collating information, conducting background technical research, and preparing financial plans and suitability reports. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of financial products, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Report directly to the Paraplanning Team Leader and attend relevant training sessions.
  • Complete individual training plans and participate in one-to-one meetings with your supervisor.
  • Adhere to all compliance processes and procedures including T&C, complaints handling, financial crime, and data protection.
  • Stay updated with regulatory, product, legislative, and technical requirements.
  • Ensure all client interactions are conducted professionally and all client files remain compliant.
  • Maintain and record CPD accurately.
  • Assess client files for completeness and compliance, and analyse clients’ needs to identify planning opportunities.
  • Undertake comparative and technical research, including tax calculations and cashflow analysis.
  • Liaise with insurance, investment, and pension providers as needed, and prepare illustrations/quotations for recommended products.
  • Draft suitability reports for adviser approval and conduct periodic suitability assessments for clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services and the Financial Planning Process.
  • Proficient IT skills and strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage caseloads and prioritise effectively.
  • Proficient report writing skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive cultural attitude and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Level 4 Diploma qualifications (CII or equivalent) are required.
