Workshop Plant PDI Fitter

Job description

Plantforce are currently looking for an experienced & enthusiastic Workshop Plant PDI Fitter to join our team with preparing all new plant machinery and installing safety features before it enters the fleet operations.

Main duties will include:

• Piping and installing of hydraulic quick hitches
• Installing of safety rails, beacons and other safety items
• Welding/fixing brackets
• Check oil levels and grease machines
• Complete inspection checklists and update necessary records
• Shakedown test of new plant machinery
• General housekeeping duties
• Assist with maintenance, service and repairs of hire fleet when needed
• Assisting with other activities and tasks within the wider workshop as the role may require

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Good organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good time management

Plantforce fitters operate from Monday to Friday and on Saturday when required, giving flexibility to finish times with opportunity for overtime.
