About the role

This diverse, two-form entry primary school in Weston-Super-Mare, are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven Teaching Assistant to support in an Early Years setting across Nursery and Reception classes. This part-time will start immediately and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent position should the school decide that the candidate is the right fit.

By the time the children leave in Year 6, the school want their children to be open minded, independent, respectful, resilient, active, creative and forward thinking. They have high standards, and achieve this through a creative and fun curriculum but also by providing an environment where children feel safe and happy. The school is incredibly diverse, with a large number of children speaking English as a second language.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of EYFS Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

Salary

£12.86-£15.00 per hour (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Have or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
  • Level 3 Child Care qualification or equivilent
