TSR Legal is thrilled to be working with a well-established high street law firm seeking an experienced Head of Residential Conveyancing to lead its conveyancing department. With a strong reputation for delivering client-focused legal services, the firm is looking for a skilled professional to oversee a team of 6-8 staff members and drive the department forward.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and manage the Residential Conveyancing team, ensuring high service standards and a positive working environment.
  • Oversee all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with CQS guidance and legal regulations.
  • Draft and review contracts, transfer deeds, mortgage documents, and other legal paperwork.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the department as part of the Leadership Team.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with experience in residential conveyancing and team leadership. The role requires:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in conveyancing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of property law and conveyancing processes.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills.
  • A high level of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Experience with conveyancing software and legal databases (preferred).
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
