Candidates should possess excellent design and manufacturing skills, including welding and fabrication, as well as knowledge of engineering materials and the ability to read engineering drawings.
Preferred qualifications include experience with CNC machines and the ability to manufacture parts using manual machine tools such as lathes and vertical mills.
The role offers a salary of up to £37,000, depending on experience, and includes additional benefits.

Your new companyAn automotive re-manufacturer is currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their ever-growing team. The company has been supplying major OEMs for more than 4 decades. The business started off with a focus on front & rear-wheel drive manual transmission and growing into a centre of excellence for re-manufacturing. The business is TS16949, ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified.Your new roleAs the Maintenance Engineer, you will be expected to maintain and improve the efficiency, development and progress of the manufacturing process lines and facilities. Working closely with other technical professionals, you'll improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of machine breakdowns and provide input to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes. You will be reporting to the Commercial Engineering Manager.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in your application for the Maintenance Engineer role, you will have excellent design and manufacturer skills like welding and general fabrication, able to manufacture parts on manual machine tools, i.e. Lathe, Vertical Mill etc. You will also have knowledge of engineering materials to allow selection of appropriate materials.
