Your new companyYou will be working for an automotive re-manufacturing company who are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The company has been supplying major OEMs for more than 4 decades. The business started off with a focus on front & rear-wheel drive manual transmission and growing into a centre of excellence for re-manufacturing.Your new roleIn your new role, you will mainly be responsible for enhancing factory efficiency through re-layouts, line balancing, and tooling improvements. Collecting and analysing data to focus on process improvements. Conducting various engineering activities for current production programs. Identifying root causes of problems and implement permanent corrective actions. You will also conduct other similarly related engineering activities such as managing costs, adhering to health and safety, delivering high quality customer service, leading continual improvement projects and more.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in your application you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree (2:1) in engineering, analytical, or numerate disciplines, or equivalent.
  • Strong engineering knowledge with practical application skills.
  • Logical problem-solving approach.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a process-related engineering role.
  • Proven track record of implementing improvements and achieving cost savings.
  • Excellent organisational skills and project management experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience in designing tools and components, with accurate drawings and overseeing their manufacture.
  • Familiarity with compiling and maintaining Bills of Material and ERP system data.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Flexible and reliable, with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong customer service awareness.
  • Experience working with sub-contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
