Reed is delighted to collaborate with a family-run company in recruiting an Admin Supervisor in the Retail Division based in Weston-super-Mare. This newly created role is a result of the company’s growth and expansion. The position involves comprehensive administrative oversight, including liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and site staff, making it a pivotal part of the company’s operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the admin team and contribute significantly to the company’s success.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and site staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage the raising of orders, processing payments, and coordinating deliveries.
  • Organise accommodation and travel arrangements as needed.
  • Arrange vehicle, skip, plant hire, and off-site storage according to project requirements.
  • Answer and distribute incoming telephone calls appropriately.
  • Complete Customer Operation & Maintenance files and upload necessary information to client web portals.
  • Supervise and support other staff within the Admin team, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Stand in to support the Manager one day per week, ensuring continuity in management and leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a construction or similar sector.
  • Any exposure to leadership as this role will take care of 2 full time and 1 part time admin staff.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in handling confidential information with discretion.
