Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher

The school are seeking a dynamic and passionate Design and Technology (D&T) Teacher to join their innovative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about inspiring the next generation of designers, engineers, and technologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Deliver Lessons: Develop and implement a creative and comprehensive D&T curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Student Assessment: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare students for exams and coursework.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring all students are engaged and motivated.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Lead or support extracurricular activities, such as D&T clubs, competitions, and school projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and the wider school community to enhance the D&T curriculum and share best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Required:
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    • A degree in Design and Technology or a related field.
    • Proven experience teaching D&T at secondary level.
    • Strong knowledge of the D&T curriculum and current educational practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Current up to date DBS check
    • Up to date Safeguarding certificate, ideally.
