Here at Long-Term Teachers, I am currently working closely with a 2 form entry Primary School in the BS22 area of Weston-Super-Mare. They are currently seeking an experienced HLTA to work closely with other staff members across the school.

You will be joining a team of staff who encourage kindness and a community feel throughout the school where children feel valued, safe and secure. The school provides the students with a stimulating curriculum within a nurturing environment.

The Role

This role is for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who can work across all Primary Year Groups.

You will be expected to work with small groups of children to support with Maths, Phonics and Literacy interventions. When absence or PPA cover is required, you will be asked to cover a whole class and deliver lessons to the high expectations of the school.

You will be expected to:

  • Great communication with the Class Teachers.

  • Have high expectations for the pupils in class.

  • Have great knowledge of the Primary Curriculum

  • Have prior experience delivering pre-planned lessons to whole classes.

  • Be enthusiastic to help the wider school too.

  • Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the pupils needs.
