North Somerset are looking for an experienced childrens social worker able to join their Assessment Team.
The role includes transition of childrens casework from the MASH, children in need and children who may be at risk, taking part in strategy meetings, taking action to protect children where necessary. Multi-agency family assessments are carried out in this team which include visiting families, conducting direct work with children and young people, gathering and analysing information to allow them to consider next steps.
Their methodology is strengths based, they treat families and each other with respect and kindness whilst at all times remaining focused on the experience and needs of children and young people.
This role is 37 hours a week and based out of an office in Weston-super-Mare.
Suitable candidates must have extensive post qualification experience in a similar team, be on the SWE register and a car driver.
