North Somerset is currently looking for Social Workers to join their Children in CareTeam with low caseloads around 17 per Social Worker & excellent pay rates up to £40.00ph DOE.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Senior Social Worker who can hit the ground running to really make a difference in the lives of children and families within North Somerset.

About the role:

  • Provide high-quality social work services for children and young people in care.
  • Manage a complex caseload, ensuring the needs of children and families are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • Lead and support a small team of social workers, providing guidance and supervision as needed.
  • Work in close collaboration with external agencies and professionals to promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans in line with local authority policies and national standards.

For this role you must:

  • Must have worked in an English Local Authority for at least 3 years on a permanent basis (experience in Scotland, Ireland, or Wales will not be considered).
  • Significant experience in children in care work, with a strong understanding of child protection and care planning processes.
  • Must be available to start immediately.
  • A current Social Work England registration and an up-to-date DBS check.
