Five Education is looking for a Teacher who can deliver to a small class of secondary-age children who have been diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Other children at the school have Speech and Language difficulties and behaviour challenges. Some of the children also have additional needs with their communication and sensory abilities. The school is based in Weston Super Mare. It has on-site parking but is also accessible by public transport. The successful candidate will have classroom teaching experience and a developed understanding of Autism-friendly teaching methods. You will be eager to develop your pedagogy by learning more about ASD. Teaching materials and resources are provided. However the school encourage individuality, therefore you are welcome to adapt learning materials to make your lessons outstanding. The person chosen for this role may have previously been a primary/ secondary / FE teacher. They will benefit from training and support whilst working with Five Education. The school has a supportive staff cohort and good facilities. There is a strong ethos of fostering ambition and achievement within every person in the school. The successful candidate will benefit from a pay rate dependent on experience. The day is 7 hours with an unpaid lunch break. Your daily rate of pay would be £120.00 but with a potential to earn more based on level of experience.
