Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Management Accoutnant to join a high growth services business with ambitious plans in 2025. This business has developed a strong reputation as an employer of choice, and have recently promoted from within their finance function and so this role could suit candidates looking to progress and develop into a more senior position over time but is now ready to integrate and learn as the business continues to move quickly into its next growth phase
Reporting into the Financial Controller, key duties of the Management Accountant will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including Bank Reconciliation, Accruals, prepayment journal, and Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with annual accounts for statutory audits.
- Helping stakeholders understand their Profit & Loss statements and other financial data.
- Managing day-to-day financial queries.
- Providing financial support to the business development team.
- Participating in the annual budget process.
- Overseeing cost control and business analysis.
- Ensuring the accuracy of the accounts database.
- Producing and analysing monthly management information.
- Providing insights for ad hoc reporting.
- Identifying opportunities for profit improvement within client accounts.
To be considered for this role we are looking for candidates with the following:
- Relevant accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
- Hands-on, enthusiastic and energetic with the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, able to present financial information effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
In return, the successful candidate will receive the following:
£40,000 - £50,000 base salary
Discretionary bonus
