Search Consultancy is delighted be supporting an established business in Wetherby, to recruit a Management Accountant. This is a national business with sites across the UK and they have been recognised in the Sunday Times Top Track 250 index. They are a leading business within their field. The Finance Department is made up of the Management Accounts, Purchase Ledger and Commercial Finance teams.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts for a number of sites, and will involve business partnering with the site managers to review and discuss how they can improve performance. You will be responsible for the preparation and production of monthly management accounts including managing accruals, prepayments, journal entries, within month end deadlines. You will be responsible for reporting and analysis, building, improving and maintaining excel reporting. You will assist the site managers with the development and review of annual budgets and supporting them during the quarterly forecasting. You will also maintain the monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and be responsible for sales, margin and cost analysis. This role provides the opportunity to further develop existing management accounts knowledge and you will provide support to the Financial Controller on additional finance team tasks and projects.

This role would provide an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious CIMA/ACCA part qualified accountant, to join an established £300m turnover, owner managed company.

To be considered for this role:

  • You will be actively studying towards your ACCA/CIMA Qualification
  • You will have previous experience of management accounting
  • You will have been involved in the budgeting and forecasting process previously
  • You will have Excellent IT and strong Excel skills - competent with data manipulation on large data sets; pivot tables; sumifs;vlookups; xlookups; index matching.
  • Proven ability of working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to both financial and non-financial stakeholder
  • Proactively looks for opportunities to develop themselves
