Senior Management Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group's Senior Finance division are recruiting a Senior Management Accountant on a permanent based for a thriving construction business based in Wetherby.This role would provide an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant. This role will provide the opportunity to further develop existing managements accounts knowledge whilst developing junior direct reports.

Duties of the Senior Management Accountant includes:

• Development and support of up to 3 direct reports
• Provide support to Financial Controller on Finance team tasks and projects
• Responsible for preparation and production of monthly management accounts 
• Identifying gaps in process and escalating risks and issues as appropriate
• Provide business partnering to Directors and Regional Directors to support in interpreting monthly financial results
• Reporting and analysis, building, improving and maintaining excel reporting
• Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Other ad hoc sales and margin as well as cost analysis tasks
• Ad hoc process improvement
• Support branch bi-annual stocktakes

Key skills & experience required:

• Fully qualified with minimum 4 years experience (CIMA / ACCA)
• Minimum of 2 years experience producing monthly management accounts
• Experienced in budgeting and forecasting process
• Minimum 1 year management experience
• Excellent IT and strong Excel skills 
• Previous experience of developing commercial reporting
• Previous knowledge of rebates (desirable not essential)
• Sees developing others as a key part of their role and focusses on team goals
• Proactively looks for opportunities to develop themselves
