Freelance Head Chef

We are looking for freelance head chef to work with us, helping to support our head chef in the event of illnesses, annual leave or whilst hiring someone full time.

We work exclusively with fresh food and try to keep food simple but classic, we work with locals farmers and growers through the seasons. Menu changes are done monthly, with input welcome from all the team, weekly specials encouraged.

The right candidate for this freelance chef role will be someone who is keen to get stuck into anything, and work well in small family style teams.

Someone who has own transport

Someone who will invoice each pub for hours worked

Tom Foolery / Masa is an Independent business that is built on the passion and ideas of our team and you will have the opportunity to influence menu development and work alongside our owners to keep our menu fresh, seasonal and the best around.
Tom Foolery serves brunch 7 days per week and serving pizzas 5 evenings per week.
Masa is a South American inspired small plate restaurant that is open Friday and Saturday evenings only.

Any applicant will have experience of running a successful kitchen, having past experience of stock control, stock ordering and managing a team. We are looking for someone with a passion for food, a keen eye for detail and the ability to follow specs, both in preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate will also be confident enough to seamlessly run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

We would be looking for someone who is reliable, has worked as a head chef for over 3 years and has a 'can do attitude.'
