Early Years Educator - Outstanding Nursery in East Keswick

Are you an experienced Early Years Educator with a passion for inspiring young minds? We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our Outstanding nursery in the heart of East Keswick.

At our clients nursery, we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children thrive, explore, and develop essential skills that will support them for life. We are looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, creativity, and energy to the team, helping us to continue offering a high standard of care and education while adding that extra "specialness" to our setting.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and assess the educational activities for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their individual needs are met through child-led learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with both children and parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to develop their curiosity, creativity, and independence.
  • Support children in developing key social, emotional, and communication skills through play-based learning and active exploration.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to enhance the early years curriculum, incorporating both Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles and innovative ideas.
  • Participate in observations and assessments, ensuring that progress is tracked and next steps are identified for each child.
  • Ensure that safeguarding and health and safety practices are consistently followed, and the nursery remains a safe and welcoming place for all.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in an Early Years setting, with a solid understanding of EYFS.
  • A passion for working with young children and helping them develop through play, discovery, and creative activities.
  • Ability to work independently, use your initiative, and contribute to the overall success of the nursery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a dedication to building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
