Michael Page are partnered with a manufacturer in Wetherby that are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their site.

Description

  • Be a driving force in the Lean implementation journey to develop the business processes and people towards a culture of continuous improvement
  • Engage with people in all areas of the business to create long lasting and meaningful change
  • Work with colleagues to develop and maintain the data and systems that support performance monitoring. Collect data to analyse current state and generate ideas for improvement activities
  • Coach and support teams in effectively undertaking Root Cause Analysis
  • Participate and lead others through practical problem solving when issues arise, working within teams to generate and document corrective and preventative actions
  • Create and update documentation as required including Standard Operating Procedures and standard work
  • Follow up on any improvement activities by carrying out process confirmation to ensure that improvements are being sustained

Profile

  • Experience working in CI roles
  • Able to work unsupervised and use own initiative with excellent time management, planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills
  • Able to analyse problems, detect root cause and resolve issues
  • A self-motivated team player who can engage others to build trust and openness
  • Can communicate clearly and effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Must be confident in managing, presenting, communicating, and influencing groups and individuals at all levels
  • Ability to work to set targets and specified standards
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office
  • Understanding of improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing
  • Desirable to have minimum Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Knowledge of improvement tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Root Cause Analysis
  • Knowledge of appropriate standards such as ISO9001
