Shifts – Panama days and nights

ATA Recruitment are working in partnership with a FMCG manufacturing firm based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. My client are looking for a motivated Maintenance engineer who has a multi skilled maintenance background able to undertake both mechanical and electrical breakdowns.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of machinery including ovens, provers, conveyors and much more. The team have a strong team work ethic and you will have ongoing support from the maintenance engineers on shift as well as the engineering manager. Training and development are at the forefront of my client and they have budgets in place to provide tailor made training to suit you and the business needs.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer will include:

  • The planned and reactive maintenance and service of all the state-of-the-art kit on site at site.
  • Working as part of a large on-site maintenance engineering team of 12 engineers.
  • Mechanically you will mainly be replacing worn out parts on the conveyors which will include processing lines weighing equipment, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatics and much more
  • Electrical work will include reading through electrical schematics, utilizing electrical test equipment such as multi-meters and fault finding on panels.
  • Interpret engineering drawings

The Person

To be successful in your application for a Maintenance Engineer you will need:

  • An electrical or mechanical NVQ Level 3 qualification, time served
  • Maintenance experience in a high speeds production, manufacturing, FMCG environment is highly desirable but not essential
