We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to join our team in Wetherby. In this role, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services to our diverse student body and play a crucial role in promoting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The successful candidate will be available 20 hours per week (hours can be flexible but will need to work over the school lunch break Monday-Friday).

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide direct nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and medication administration.

* Manage health records and implement health plans for individual students.

* Collaborate with parents, guardians, teachers, and other school staff to ensure students' health needs are met.

* Develop and deliver health education programs on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and mental health.

* Respond to emergencies and provide first aid.

* Advise on accommodations for students with chronic health conditions or disabilities.

* Participate in school-wide health initiatives and contribute to the development of health policies.

* Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Registered Public Health Nurse with a valid NMC OR Nurse with appropriate experience as a School Nurse.

* Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.

* Strong understanding of child development and health issues.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Commitment to providing culturally sensitive and inclusive care.
