Interim Financial Controller (6-7 Month FTC - Maternity Cover)

A specialised industrial services company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Interim Financial Controller to provide maternity cover for the Head of Finance. This is a fixed-term contract role with no potential for a permanent position, suited to someone confident in leading finance operations within a fast-paced, systems-led environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of banking, approvals, and general finance operations
  • Lead system reporting processes and ensure data integrity
  • Support the import and processing of budgets - a key focus during this cover
  • Conduct cash flow reviews and contribute to reporting outputs
  • Manage a small finance team, including:
    • 1 Management Accountant
    • 2 Accounts Processors
  • Liaise with Credit Control, managed by Vincent
Candidate Profile
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Able to quickly familiarise themselves with systems and processes
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable working with minimal process changes
Contract Details
  • Duration: 6-7 months fixed-term contract (maternity cover)
  • Compensation: £80,000 - £85,000 pro-rata, with potential for a completion bonus
  • Location: Weybridge (hybrid working - 2 days in-office per week)
