Senior Financial Accountant

Location: Surrey, KT13 0SL

Hours: 37.5 per week

Contract Type: 12-month FTC

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will support financial reporting, controls, assurance, and accounting services within the UK & Ireland Controlling function.

You will maintain balance sheet integrity, manage income statement analysis, and collaborate with the Business Unit Controller to improve cost management, reduce financial risk, and standardise finance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, account reconciliation, and compliance with UK&I requirementsConduct Controls Self-Assessments and update the controls framework for process changes

  • Manage external, Group, and internal audits, as well as Financial Controls & Assurance reviews

  • Oversee month-end procedures, including accruals, prepayments, and revenue transactions

  • Review overdue accounts receivable and working capital reports, implementing corrective actions

  • Investigate and explain variances from forecast

About You

  • Qualified or studying towards ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide clear insights

  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills

  • Attention to detail with sound judgement and decision-making abilities
