Robert Half is partnering with a leading global organisation in the energy sector to recruit a Senior Group Accountant. This role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, and analysis across multiple regions, including the UK, AMME, and Asia Pacific. Sitting within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting finance group, this position plays a key role in preparing financial statements, managing audits, and supporting tax compliance. Location: Weybridge, SurreySalary: circa £75,000Work Arrangement: 4 days in the office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements under IFRS or local GAAP, ensuring full compliance.
  • Compile extended trial balances and audit files for legal entities, joint ventures, and branches across key regions.
  • Manage external audits, ensuring adherence to statutory deadlines.
  • Reconcile statutory accounts with IFRS-based management accounts, particularly for the Nigeria JV entity.
  • Provide support for local tax audits across the UK, AMME, and Asia Pacific regions.
  • Review and analyse financial data, including multi-currency ledgers across Oracle Fusion and SAP systems.
  • Prepare regulatory submissions to the Office of National Statistics.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with Group Accounting, Tax, and Business Control teams to support day-to-day operations and ad hoc projects.
