- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Reconcile bank accounts and manage general ledger entries
- Oversee operational financial processes and controls
- Ensure that managers are undertaking their financial processes in an accurate and timely manner
- Assist with payroll processing, including tax filings and pension contributions
- Oversee employee expense claims and reimbursements
- Track and manage purchasing cards for store and kitchen operations
- Prepare financial statements and support end-of-period and end-of-year financial processes
- Assist in preparing documentation for VAT returns and tax filings
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain accurate records for audits
- Work closely with management to provide financial insights that inform business decisions
- Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role
- Familiar with UK tax and accounting regulations
- Familiar with how to undertake manual journal entries
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
