Our client is a luxurious retailer based in Weybridge who are looking for a reliable and organised bookkeeper who can seamlessly manage the financial transactions and support the FD. Please be aware that this role is initially 5 days a week in the office whist in probation then dropping down to 4. The Role: Maintain Accurate Financial Records 
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Reconcile bank accounts and manage general ledger entries
  • Oversee operational financial processes and controls
  • Ensure that managers are undertaking their financial processes in an accurate and timely manner
 Manage Payroll and Expenses 
  • Assist with payroll processing, including tax filings and pension contributions
  • Oversee employee expense claims and reimbursements
  • Track and manage purchasing cards for store and kitchen operations
 Support Financial Reporting and Compliance 
  • Prepare financial statements and support end-of-period and end-of-year financial processes
  • Assist in preparing documentation for VAT returns and tax filings
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain accurate records for audits
  • Work closely with management to provide financial insights that inform business decisions
 The Ideal Candidate 
  • Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role
  • Familiar with UK tax and accounting regulations
  • Familiar with how to undertake manual journal entries
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
